Role on Project: Lead Writer & Voice Director
Martin was lead writer on Lionhead’s massively successful and critically acclaimed simulation The Movies, penning 80% of the game and coordinating a team of writers. His duties included humorous radio news report and DJ speech writing, character speech/thought writing, coordinating with programmers and designers to create a system to generate bespoke, context sensitive reviews for user created movies, tutorial writing and directing voice actors. The game went on to win the 2006 BAFTA for Best Simulation and was awarded 95% from PC Zone, 90% from Games(TM) and averaged an impressive 84% Metacritic score.
